I was irritated because of my sleepless nights, that are in one side effect, a reason much attached to what is notoriously reported nowadays about my country. As a disgruntled citizen, i don't feel content for the present situation. We Moroccans have an eager sense to change conditions of our requisite rights. In these days people exhibited an outraged reaction to a current rape attempt incident of six guys caught in charges trying to rape a girl who suffers from mental health problems, Morocco world news says. In a moment of distraction i thought i was expatriated to India. This may not be odd because rape's rates are increasingly in a permanent prosperity each day, and that became obviously detected by the majority...yet it was not the news which enlarged my eyes of being bewildered, but it was the location where the harassement took place
At that time people in the BUS were crowded in broad daylight witnessing what was occuring without any intervention as if they were watching scenes from a movie, so one of the honourable audience determined his audacious endeavour by recording a video, leaving the victim in torment and struggle to cover her body after she was half-undressed. There's a rumour claiming that the video was filmed by one of the suspects, but it's not important who made the video... what is in our concern is the crime itself which is a threat to security of citizens.
I now wonder in which destination our miserable state here is willing to reach. Tens of questions cross my mind inquiring how my country is being represented to other nations, how such promiscuous crime was dared in public, and how we can't be unshamed of these unethical events attributing my home country that gave entity to me and to those who are indignant about the violation of one of the essential human rights which is the lack of safety and public security.
I am writing this because i fully cuddle hope of supporting renovation of submitting rights for "the many & not the few". I am aware that there is no escape from reality, and that alteration of our lives which, in a point of fact, requires time of raising awareness of the coming generations will never prevent procreating urbane mentality.
So am i guilty of demanding my elimination request of such transgression of our rights?
Will i be then attacked as someone who overdraws the issue?
Or is change impossible in a state where some people exist blaming women for being the first and last cause of rape?
