My first speech in English!
By Aida Bouya
It has been said for so many years that women are the more complicated gender, and we all have agree with that without convincing arguments.
Be assured, as women we feel the same way about men.!
But the question is Why not men?
As women, let me ask you: do you understand men?
Do you think you’ll ever understand them?
Why are men mysterious and contradictive?
As with many people, I grew up in a very conservative family, which the total sovereignty was of men, and When I was seeing how my community did not value women and considered them as complicated people who need custody, it was unacceptable to me, especially since men's actions and attitudes were contradictory.!
Be sure I am not prejudiced? And You should know I’ve never liked using the word “complicated” to describe people, especially men.
Because I am the daughter of one, the mother of one, I married one, and I have male friends and colleagues, so I thought that I still knew quite a bit about men and what they go through! But as I started penetrating into the world of masculinities, let me tell you, I realized it was a completely different world. There are social codes out there that I had no idea of. And some of the codes that I’ have discovered are really quite surprising.!
When we talk about a man, we are talking about a person who is basically complicated, not only with his dealings but also in his relationship, that is, if he does not find anyone to fight with him, He is always fighting with himself, he is always in a state of internal conflicts, his life continues according to plans, aspirations and needs >. Says -madrine katoumia-in an article under the title man is a complicated person.
Why Men are more often involved in delinquent or criminal acts?
Why do we find that Men commit suicide 3 times more often than women?
In 2016 organization “WHO” there were an estimated 793,000 suicide deaths worldwide, most were men.
"Men behave badly," says psychotherapist and author Joan Cavanaugh, "because they can",That because many more men hold positions of power in our society and they are socialized to not talk about their feelings and this puts a lot of pressure on them.!
Diane Barth, psychotherapist in New York City said in an interview in think Blog “that a Pew Research has just released a study confirming that, as a society, Americans promote not seeing men as being “emotional,” but as being strong, protective, and authoritative: 67% of respondents viewed power as a positive trait in men (but not in women).
However, A lack of emotion, we communicate to boys from an early age, is the path to power, strength, authority and control,
for those reasons, they become more complicated and aggressive because they are brought up to be strong in all their cases. “Boys don’t cry! Don’t cry like a girl!” are phrases that plant a particular mindset in them.
Fortunately, today Several of men are conscious with this issue and they support this need to begin to educate boys about feelings and empathy from an early age — which, I agree, is an excellent idea. But until that happens, women might consider how we choose to react, which is really the only thing in our control.
To conclude, I think Men and Women are both complicated in different ways because they are victims of political, economic, cultural-religious and environmental discrimination, and it all depends on how we express it, we also can’t blame it on the gender but as individuals itself. We're both human beings before we're given any other label.
